United are gearing up for what will 

perhaps be their most significant summer

 ever. They are currently conducting 

interviews for a new manager, with Mauricio

 Pochettino and Erik Ten Hag being the 

front-runners. Since Sir Alex Ferguson's 

resignation in 2013, whoever obtains the 

role will be the club's fifth permanent

 manager. 


And the new man will be tasked with 

closing the gap on Liverpool and Manchester

 City at the top of the Premier League table. 


United is in the process of selecting whether

 players will stay or depart, with a lot of 

hard work going on behind the scenes. To 

that end, a recent report mentioned 11 

players who are expected to go, including

 several prominent names. 


Fernandes, on the other hand, appears 

to be someone they want to keep.
