Breaking news: Man Utd prepared to agree over £32million fee to sign play breaker
Manchester United is now in sixth place
in the Premier League after conceding 40
goals in 29 games. Even Aston Villa, who
are now in ninth place, have conceded
40 goals this season.
The Red Devils have bought central defenders
such as Bailly, Lindelof, Maguire (record
cost for a defender) and Raphael Varane
over the years. Even so, things have been a
little wobbly in the rear.
The Red Devils have a number of seasoned
defenders, but they are missing a specialized
play breaker to give protection in front
of the back four.
According to rumours (Diario do Fla),
Manchester United are willing to pay more
than £32 million (200 million Brazilian Lira
) to hire Flamengo playmaker Joao Gomes.
The youngster's current contract with the
South American club is set to expire
at the end of the season.
