Cavani's season in 2021/22 was a 

disaster, with the striker missing big 

chunks of the season owing to quarantine

 troubles, bruises, tendon irritation, 

and, most recently, a groin ailment. 


Following the new concern, Manchester

 United has stated that the striker is now 

a doubt for Saturday's encounter against

 Leicester City.

Cavani scored 17 goals in all competitions

 during his debut season at Old Trafford, 

earning him a new 12-month contract. 


Unfortunately, the seasoned striker hasn't

 been able to reproduce his success this season

, and a summer departure seems a distinct

 possibility.

 Another day, another rumor linking  Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United , who desperately need midfield  reinforcements.  Man United is close to agreeing to  a £20.5 million per year contract to  sign De Jong this summer, according  to an exclusive story published by  The Daily Star Sunday (press  image below).  The Red Devils are having trouble  signing quality players, according  to a British news outlet, because they  will not be competing in the Champions  League next season.  United is willing to offer De Jong  the highest-paid player available  to the Catalan giants in order to entice  him to join the Old Trafford club.  Man United is thought to be willing  to pay him £395,000 (£20.5 million)  a week.

 According to Italian newspaper  Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester  United midfielder Paul Pogba has signed  personal terms on a three-year contract  with Juventus.  With a calf injury that has kept him  out for the past four weeks, the Frenchman  may have played his final game  for the Red Devils.  When his contract expires on June  30, he is expected to go, and Gazzetta  reports that Juventus are close to  re-signing him on a free transfer.  The 29-year-old has signed to a three -year contract earning €7.5 million  per season, with performance-based  bonuses bringing the total to €10 million.  Pogba was previously linked with a  move to Paris Saint-Germain, but  he has now agreed to a 45 percent  wage reduction to return to the Bianconeri.
