Breaking news: Erik ten Hag given Cristiano Ronaldo drop advice as incoming Man Utd boss sent reminder, will Ronaldo remain or not ,Ten hag makes final decision .
According to Dutch icon Marco van
Basten, Erik ten Hag has "no need" to take
Cristiano Ronaldo out of Manchester
United's starting XI as long as the superstar
striker continues to excel in front of goal.
Ten Hag will take over as manager at
Old Trafford this summer, and he expects
a big overhaul to bring United back on
track following a difficult season. As a
result, there has been much conjecture
about Ronaldo's role in the Dutchman's plans.
Despite the fact that the 37-year-old is
United's leading scorer this season with 22
goals in 35 games, he is not the type of
youthful, dynamic player with whom Ten
Hag frequently works at Ajax. Nonetheless
, Van Basten was quick to stress out that
the team's objectives remain the same.
