Breaking news: Erik ten Hag selects new 'leader' of Man Utd project in bitter blow to Harry Maguire



 Erik ten Hag, the new manager of Manchester

 United, is said to have chosen Barcelona 

midfielder Frenkie De Jong as one of 

his top objectives to lead the team to glory

 at Old Trafford. 


The 52-year-old was named the club's 

next permanent manager earlier this week 

and will take over at the end of the season. 

But, now that Ten Hag has been named, attention

 is turning to how he will stop the Red 

Devils' downward spiral. 



The Dutchman joins United at a low point

 in their history, with the club enduring a 

five-year trophy drought and lagging their

 main rivals by a country mile. In the summer

, Ten Hag plans to complete a substantial 

makeover, giving it his personal touch.
