 When Edinson Cavani's contract with

 Manchester United expires this summer

, the striker prefers to join a team in Spain. 



The 35-year-old Uruguayan has already 

played in Italy, France, and England and is 

eager to play in another of Europe's top leagues

. Cavani has been approached by a number

 of clubs, including those in the Spanish

 league. 


Cavani arrived at United from Paris Saint-

Germain in October 2020, and after scoring

 17 goals in his debut season, he signed 

a one-year contract extension in May. 


He talked of doing "special things" this 

season back then, but the season hasn't gone

 as planned for him or the club. United 

have struggled in domestic competitions, 

though they are still in the Champions 

League hunt, and Cavani has been limited

 by injuries.
