Following Manchester United's defeat to 

Everton on Saturday, Merseyside police 

are examining an incident in which Ronaldo 

seemed to slap a mobile phone out of 

an Everton fan's hand. 


After the incident, Ronaldo apologized for 

his behavior on Instagram before asking the

 fan to watch a United game at Old Trafford. 


"As a demonstration of fair play and sportsmanship

, I would like to invite this supporter to 

watch a game at Old Trafford," he wrote. 


Invitation was turned down. 

However, the boy's mother, Sarah Kelly, 

has declined the offer, citing several 

reasons.
