appointment, with the current Ajax manager

 Louis van Gaal, Ten Hag, 52, will become 

only the second Dutchman to lead United

. United wanted their new manager in place

 before the start of the summer window 

to ensure a smooth transition between 

the two roles and to get off to a fast start

 ahead of a crucial off-season. 


As he searches for a new club, Ten 

Hag believes his immediate emphasis is 

on finishing the season strongly with Ajax.
