Confirmed :Finally a new era begins in Manchester United, as Manchester United board after Leicester city draw announce the appointment of a new captain as fans boo Harry Maguire for funny display today .
Manchester United fans sang Harry
Maguire's name in a show of support
for their under-pressure captain ahead
of the team's game against Leicester
on Saturday after a difficult week
for the defender.

Maguire was booed by a section of
supporters prior to England's clash
with Ivory Coast on Tuesday at Wembley.
He went on to help Gareth Southgate's
side keep a clean sheet as they eased
to a 3-0 victory, and he was backed by
Ralf Rangnick and Wayne Rooney
after the incident.

Gary Neville stated before kick-off
at Old Trafford that he expected United's
fans to get behind the 29-year-old.
'It could be a good thing for Harry that
he was booed by England fans because
that ordinarily galvanises Manchester
United fans into responding and
sticking up for their player,' he told
Sky Sports.
There were some jeers when Maguire's
name was announced in the lead-up
to the game, although these may have
come from Leicester fans, given that
he previously played for the Foxes
between 2017 and 2019.
However, those murmurs of discontent
were drowned out by the majority of
the crowd, as Neville predicted.

Maguire has endured a below-par
campaign at United this term after thriving
at the European Championships for
England last summer.
Neville has admitted that the centre
-back has struggled, and thinks he
will be looking forward to a break
over the summer.
'He’s not had a good season, and I
think he needs the season to end.
Sometimes it happens like that where
a player has just got nine games
to go now and he’s just to try and
get through it.
'He’ll look back on this time in many
years to come as being one of his
great learning experiences but it will
be tough for him at this moment
in time,' he added.
