The sale of Chelsea has encountered 

a major stumbling block, according

when Roman Abramovich altered his 

mind about breaking his initial pledge 

on the loan made to the club. This would

 be a huge worry, especially because 

the process of changing ownership has 

already covered a lot of territory. 

Abramovich is thought to have given 

the Blues a £1.6 billion loan to help with

 day-to-day operations. He had vowed 

not to ask the club to reimburse the money 

after the sanctions, but it appears that 

he is planning to keep his word.
