Breaking news: Chelsea backed to sign three England stars as new owners 'want to make a statement'
According to TV broadcaster Richard Keys
, Chelsea's new owners "intend to make
a statement" this summer by building
an English spine at Stamford Bridge. Todd
Boehly, an American billionaire, is expected
to buy Chelsea, and Keys believes the
Blues will make three major acquisitions
this summer.
The 46-year-old inked a purchase agreement
with the west London club, which was
unveiled over the weekend. Following fines
issued by the UK government, current
owner Roman Abramovich was obliged to sell.
Boehly might have a big first window
in command, according to Keys. He's
heard Chelsea wants to construct their
team around English players, therefore
he's chosen three guys he thinks may
make the transfer.
