Breaking news: Erik ten Hag calls Cristiano Ronaldo ‘a giant’ ahead of Manchester United arrival on Monday

 As he prepares to start work with 

Manchester United on Monday, Erik 

ten Hag has described Cristiano 

Ronaldo as "giant." 



On Sunday, the 52-year-old took command

 of Ajax's final game, a 2-2 draw with 

Vitesse to finish their title-winning 

Eredivisie campaign. 


Ten Hag has stated that he will not be 

joining Ajax for their post-season trip 

to Curacao this week, instead opting to 

begin pre-season training with United. 


Meanwhile, given United's disappointing

 end to the season, talk about Ronaldo's 

future has increased, but Ten Hag has 

stated that he wants the 37-year-old 

to continue in his squad. 


'Beginning tomorrow, my emphasis 

will be on United, and I will 

give it my all.'
