 Marcos Alonso will leave Chelsea 

this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano. 



The transfer guru said on Twitter that there

 are "no worries" about the Spaniard's 

future at Stamford Bridge.

Alonso's time as a blue appears to be 

drawing to a close, whether it's in the

 near or far future. 


The defender's contract expires in 

June, and the club is notorious for not renewing

 contracts with players beyond 30. 


Alonso, who turned 31 in December, is 

in a very difficult position. 


Marina Granovskaia has only extended 

the term of the more experienced squad 

members, such as John Terry and Thiago

 Silva, in exceptional situations. 


While many would not rank Alonso 

alongside the two most famous centre-

backs, his importance cannot be overstated.
