 midfielder, is still on the outskirts, 

but Erik ten Hag's hiring could provide

 him with a lifeline. 



United, on the other hand, are severely

 lacking in that sector, and the Lazio player

 Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has long been a 

United target, but no deal has ever 

materialized. 


The Serbian international's contract in 

Rome expires in a year, and according 

to Italian super-agent Roberto De Fanti, a 

departure might potentially be on the cards

, with a move to Old Trafford being

 discussed. 


"I believe Milinkovic-Savic will leave

 Lazio this summer, and I wouldn't be 

surprised if the destination is Manchester

 United," De Fanti said in his CaughtOffside

 column. 

"I can speak for myself."
