 Cristiano Ronaldo was pulled out 

of Manchester United's final game due

 to a hip injury, therefore Edinson Cavani

 took his place.  



Cavani was unable to add to his meager

 season tally of two goals, as United 

were defeated 1-0 by Crystal Palace. 


The Uruguayan came close in the first

 half, with a shot that appeared to catch

 goalkeeper Vicente Guaita off guard 

before he blocked it with an arm. 


Cavani finished the game with less 

touches (31) than any other outfield 

player on the pitch, owing to United's

 failure to provide him with service. 


Edinson Cavani has sent a farewell

 note. 


After the game, Cavani issued a 

parting message to fans, along with

 a video of him waving to the crowd.
