Chelsea fans can now look forward

 to next season with optimism after

 it was announced on Saturday that 

a consortium led by American businessman

 Todd Boehly will take over the reins

 at Stamford Bridge after almost two

 months of uncertainty following 

the UK Government's sanctions 

against owner Roman Abramovich. 

Following Abramovich's sanctions

 on March 10, the UK granted the Blues

 a special license to continue trading, 

but with tight conditions. 



Chelsea has been given permission to 

play their scheduled games, but they

 are unable to sell tickets, merchandising

, or sign or sell players. 


Now, with Boehly and his associates

 poised to assume ownership of 

the club in a £4.25 billion purchase.
