Confirmed : Chelsea's first signing under new owners revealed as EPL giants reach agreement for La Liga star,player arrives this evening .

 Despite the fact that Chelsea is 

still under investigation, the Premier

 League heavyweights are working 

hard to expand their roster in 

preparation for the 2022/23 season. 



According to Goal, the London giants

 have laid the framework for their first

 signing under new owners Todd 

Boehly and Co., and it should come

 as no surprise that the Blues are

 targeting a central defender. 


This is logical, given the fact that the 

FIFA Club World Cup holders are expected

 to lose a number of defenders this 

summer. There is a need for center-backs

 at Stamford Bridge, with Antonio 

Rudiger and Andreas Christensen 

out of contract this summer and 

agreeing to join Real Madrid and 

Barcelona, respectively. Azpilicueta 

and Alonso are also in the mix.
