Confirmed: MANCHESTER UNITED READY TO SPEND £43M TO SIGN MANCHESTER CITY & TOTTENHAM TARGET

 Hotspur in 2021, but he chose to remain

 with his boyhood club Villarreal 

when they qualified for the 

Champions League. 



It turned out to be a great choice, 

as Unai Emery led the Yellow Submarine

 to the semi-finals, where they were 

defeated by Liverpool. 


Manchester United and Manchester City

 have now entered the race, with Spurs

 still interested in signing the Spaniard. 


The Red Devils are reportedly willing 

to spend up to £43 million for Torres

, with Ten Hag anxious to sign 

the 25-year-old. 


Tottenham had scouted the centre-back

 during Villarreal's Champions League 

semi-final loss to Liverpool. 


Torres' contract has a £50 million release

 clause, which Manchester United is 

alleged to have triggered.
