Revealed : What Tuchel's done in training that has made Chelsea's players unhappy
Chelsea’s players have reportedly
been left unhappy after Thomas
Tuchel called them into Cobham for
extra training over the weekend.
Blues manager Tuchel reacted firmly to
his side’s 2-2 draw against Wolverhampton
on Saturday in the Premier League.
According to The Sun, the German boss
forced his squad in on Sunday for training
and a team meeting.
It is understood that Chelsea players
aren’t too happy with the manager’s response
, but he’s keen to get a reaction ahead
of the final push this season.
Chelsea let a two-goal lead slip in the final
15 minutes of the Wolves clash at Stamford
Bridge, which means they continue to
be sucked into the top-four race in the league.
Hopefully, there is a reaction when they
travel to Elland Road on Wednesday night
to face Leeds United. However, opponents
Leeds are fighting for their lives down
the bottom end of the division table.
Afterwards, they face off against quadruple
-chasing Liverpool in the FA Cup final.
Chelsea reaction
The Blues have just two points from
their previous three league matches,
so you can hardly blame Tuchel for ramping
up the intensity in training.
It’s blatantly obvious they’ll need to raise
their levels ahead of facing Liverpool
at Wembley.
Romelu Lukaku’s two goals on the weekend
may provide a glimmer of hope at least
, with ESPN pundit Don Hutchison
impressed by his performance.
Elsewhere, a defence that’s been so resilient
for much of the season needs to try
rediscover its steel.
Blues centre-back Antonio Rudiger may
be leaving in the summer, but the club
could really do with some monstrous
displays from him before exiting Stamford
Bridge.
