to reunite with the midfielder. 



The rumors have mostly come from the Catalan

 press, and it appears like Barcelona is considering

 selling the Dutchman. Since joining from

 Ajax, he hasn't been horrible, but the general

 impression among those who cover the 

team is that he hasn't lived up to expectations. 


De Jong is considered as a means to gain

 money in the forthcoming transfer window

, with Barcelona still struggling financially. 


Florian Plettenberg, who has recently been 

full of exclusive claims, alleges that 'Ten 

Hag wants him' and that Manchester United

 is 'doing everything' to bring him to the club.
