Breaking news: Robin van Persie reveals reasons why he snubbed Manchester United offer ,as he rejects new role at the club .

 The Premier League heavyweights are 

close to announcing the 52-year-old as 

their new manager, having passed on Mauricio

 Pochettino in favor of the current 

Ajax manager. 



Although a formal announcement is expected

 soon, Ten Hag has already begun to analyze

 the makeup of his backroom team and 

wants complete control over who 

he may hire and fire. 


According to ESPN via Soccer News, conversations

 with Van Persie have recently taken place

, but the former United striker has declined

 the opportunity to work with Ten Hag 

and will continue with Feyenoord.


Van Persie, whose goals helped United

 win the Premier League nine years 

ago, is thought to be happy in his current

 job and has no desire to go on.
